Transavia B737 evacuates passengers on taxiway

Earlier today, a Transavia (Hollande) aircraft, a Boeing 737-8K2, registration PH-HXG, operating flight #HV6730 from San Pablo Sevilla Airport to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol experienced a fire in the main gear while taxiing at Taxiway “Bravo” after landing runway 18R.

The crew decided to perform an evacuate on the taxiway.Airport Rescue and Fire Services responded effectively. No injuries have been reported so far.

The cause of the accident is yet to be determined although an issue with the brakes is probable cause of the fire.

The aircraft is 4 years old and was delivered to Transavia in March 2017.
