Guardia Costiera to debut in the flying display at the airshow

Another first for the Malta International Airshow, the Guardia Costiera Italiana (Italian Coast Guard) has this year confirmed the first ever flying participation at the airshow with two Search and Rescue (SAR) assets. The Coast Guard duo will be formed by a Leonardo PH-139A helicopter and an ATR 42-500MP maritime patrol aircraft.

“Get ready for an impressive demonstration featuring the AgustaWestland PH-139A helicopter and the ATR 42-500MP maritime patrol aircraft. The PH-139A will also be showcased on static display, giving visitors the chance to see this advanced multi-role helicopter up close and learn about its vital role in search and rescue, surveillance, and maritime safety operations. The ATR 42-500MP, renowned for its long-range patrol and environmental monitoring capabilities, will operate directly from Italy to participate only in the flying display.”
