By strengthening the security of a NATO ally that promotes political stability and economic advancement in Europe, the proposed sale will help the United States achieve its foreign policy and national security goals.
By supplying a reliable force that can deter enemies and take part in NATO operations, the planned sale will improve Denmark’s capacity to counter present and future threats. Its objective of enhancing national and territorial defense as well as interoperability with US and NATO forces will be aided by the planned sale. This equipment will be easily incorporated into Denmark’s military forces.
$1.8 billion is the estimated total cost.
The Boeing Company, based in Arlington, Virginia, will be the main contractor. The U.S. Government is not currently aware of any offset agreements that have been suggested in relation to this possible sale. Negotiations will define any offset agreement.
