Hellenic Air Force F-16 Crashes in Greece – Pilot alive

A Hellenic Air Force F-16 Block 52 Fighter Jet crashed earlier this afternoon while landing at Andravida Military airport on the Peloponnesian peninsula. The Hellenic Air Force has issued a statement stating the pilot ejected safely and is currently in the hospital for a precautionary check-up.

Andravida Air Base is a military airport operated by the Hellenic Air Force in Elis, Greece, housing the 117th Combat Wing (117 Πτέρυγα Μάχης, 117 ΠΜ), and the Air Force’s Air Tactics Center (Κέντρο Αεροπορικής Τακτικής, ΚΕΑΤ).
