Irish Air Corps back at the airshow after 12 years

The Irish Air Corps is back as an airshow participant after participating seven editions ago in 2011. This time the Air Corps is joining the static line up woth one of their new aircraft a Pilatus PC-12NG, the Malta International Airshow announced.

“It is with great excitement that we announce the return of the Irish Air Corps to our islands for the upcoming Malta International Airshow 2023!”

The aircraft is a single-engine, turbo-prop, multi-role aircraft that was built in Switzerland. It offers great mission diversity across a wide range of functions, including passenger, cargo, medical, and surveillance operations. Large cargo doors, platforms for special missions, and tools for air ambulances make them possible.

Four of the type, which were put into service in 2020, are operated by 104 Squadron of the No. 1 Operations Wing.
