U.S. approves potential sale of Black Hawk Helicopters to Greece

The estimated cost of a possible $1.95 billion sale of 35 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters and associated equipment to the Greek government has been approved by the U.S. Department of State. On Friday 15th, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency formally notified Congress of this possible sale by delivering the necessary certification.

35 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters were sought by the Greek government, under the Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LOA). Engines, missile warning systems, wireless communication systems, training equipment, and personnel training are among the connected equipment. Mechanical, technical, and logistical support will be provided by the manufacturing company and the U.S. government.
