Wizz Air takes delivery of 170th aircraft

Wizz Air put the 170th aircraft of its fleet into service, the latest Airbus A321neo will be transferred to the Maltese subsidiary and will serve at the Catania base.

The 170th aircraft to join the Wizz Air fleet will support operations from Sicily. The newest aircraft, production serial number MSN 11018, received the Maltese registration 9H-WAA, arrived in Budapest from the Airbus factory in Hamburg in the evening of October 17th.

The 239-seat Airbus A321neo claims to reduce noice by almost half, with a 50% cut in emissions and 20% less fuel consumption over equivalent types.

The eastern and central European budget carrier aims to further reduce its CO2 emissions by 25% by 2030 as new aircraft are introduced to the fleet, with 370 on order to help meet  sustainability targets.
