Having successfully completed and delivered 2 OPV-class Cadet Training Ships to the Qatar Navy in 36 months, Anadolu Shipyard broke new ground this time and delivered 4 Landing Ships to the Qatar Navy at the same time.
Completed in a short period of 22 months, the ships hoisted the Qatar Flag at a ceremony held in the presence of a delegation of 20 people from Qatar. The ships will be sent to Qatar after six weeks of tactical shakedown trainings.
The ships’ construction began at the shipyard in July 2021, and they were launched at a ceremony in February of this year. The 40-meter-long ships can transport soldiers or armored vehicles.
