Netherlands back at Airshow after 13 years

The Malta International Airshow have just announced the addition of a Royal Netherlands Air Force AS532 Cougar helicopter in the static display.

We are delighted to confirm the participation of the Royal Netherlands Air Force AS532 Cougar helicopter in the static display. This marks the return of the Dutch Air Force to the airshow after their last appearance in 2010.

Malta International Airshow

After the last participation from the RNLAF in 2010 with the F-16 Demo Team and also static display of a KDC-10 which supported the Dutch and Belgian F-16 demo teams on their visit to Malta.

The AS532 Cougar is a versatile medium-lift helicopter used by the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF). It is currently produced by Airbus Helicopters. The Cougar is an essential piece of equipment for the Dutch military, with its main functions including troop transport, combat search and rescue, medical evacuation, and special operations support. Twelve AS532s are flown by the RNLAF by the Gilze-Rijen-based 300 Squadron.
