Italian Police’s AW139 to take part in Airshow

The Malta Aviation Society organisers of the Malta International Airshow have just announced that the Italian Police is back in the static display once again with an Agusta-Westland UH-139C.

“We are happy to announce that the Italian Polizia di Stato will return to take part in the static display once again with an Agusta-Westland UH-139C!”

Designated UH-139C, the Italian Police operates eight aircraft in service at five different bases in central and southern Italy comprising three aircraft in Pratica di Mare close to Rome, two helicopters in Reggio Calabria and one each in Bari, Palermo and Fenosu.

The Italian Police’s AW139 configuration includes a high-definition latest generation FLIR, satellite communication system, searchlight, rescue hoist, cabin mission console and a high-definition video down link.
