The first L-39NG for the Vietnam People’s Air Force (VPAF) was unveiled by Aero Vodochody in a social media post this week.
On August 7, the business said that the first aircraft in the series production “will soon be heading to its new owner.” Aero stated that the plane was getting ready “to be handed over to the customer” in a picture of it after it left the company paint shop.
In February 2021, Vietnam placed a 12 L-39NG aircraft order. The delivery of the aircraft was stated to take place between 2023 and 2024 at the time. The training of pilots, instructors, ground staff, and mechanics is covered by the contract.
